Special Representative to the Prime Minister's Youth Programme on International Linkages Rizwan Anwar Virk says youth are the precious asset of the country and the Prime Minister is focused on youth development.
During an interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Qasim Bukhari, he said Prime Minister’s Youth Program is committed for youth development under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Program Rana Mashhood.
He said that youth make up a significant portion of the country’s population and the program is focusing on four key areas; employment, education, environment and engagement.
He elaborated that the Prime Minister’s Youth Program is working on social engagement and transformation.
Rizwan Anwar Virk said that the Prime Minister's Youth Program is creating opportunities for the youth and its positive outcomes are becoming evident.
He highlighted that young people in Pakistan are not just seeking employment but also starting businesses, which helps others.
He noted that Pakistan’s IT sector is the fourth-largest freelancing industry globally and praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Laptop Scheme for supporting youth livelihoods.
Rizwan Anwar Virk also commended Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s announcement to distribute laptops, calling it a positive step for the country's growth.
He also highlighted the Youth Business Loan Scheme, a national climate plan with internships, and the Assan Karobar Scheme, which promotes entrepreneurship and job creation.
