The Chinese government has decided to offer urgent assistance to Pakistan to combat locust.
A prominent Chinese scholar and researcher Cheng Xizhong in his article said that the Beijing government has also decided to dispatch a working group comprising leading experts to help Pakistan develop targeted programs to jointly cope with the locust disaster.
He said China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners that share a good tradition of mutual assistance.
The Chinese scholar said China has set up an emergency project to help Pakistan prepare pesticide and spraying equipment. Moreover, the Chinese government has also given drones to join the efforts against locust in the country.
