Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal says China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has become a symbol of global identity of Pakistan.
He was speaking at a seminar "CPEC Five Years: A Story of Success and Opportunities", organized by Sustainable Development Policy Institute in Islamabad today.
The Minister said CPEC highlighted Pakistan's positive image across the world.
He said peace and stability are vital to reap benefits of this gigantic initiative.
The Minister for Planning said the Government has also launched the Productivity, Quality and Innovation initiative to make Pakistan globally competitive.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing said that CPEC is a new dynamic of China-Pakistan strategic relations. He said that Pakistan is China's natural partner in Beijing's striving for next stage of development.
The Ambassador said implementation and conducting of CPEC is based on mutual respect and consultation.
He said China wants to help improve infrastructure of Pakistan and enhance partnership and cooperation both at public and private levels.
Taking part in a panel discussion, under the seminar, Deputy Head of Chinese Embassy Lijian Zhao said that development projects under CPEC are being completed at fast pace.
He rejected the reports that obsolete and used thermal power plants are being relocated to Pakistan.
