All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that Modi-led BJP regime is pursuing a systematic agenda to alter the demographic composition of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said the purpose of this tactic is to undermine the distinct identity and culture of the Kashmiri people.
He said the BJP-RSS regime is facilitating settler colonialism and attempting to convert the Muslim-majority territory into a minority-dominated region.
Meanwhile, APHC leader Masroor Abbas Ansari criticized the decades-long ban on the traditional route of Ashura procession through Srinagar city.
He said mourners should be allowed to exercise their religious rights peacefully.
Meanwhile, a Kashmiri delegation, led by Altaf Hussain Wani, met the Permanent Representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Geneva.
During the meeting, it expressed gratitude for the OIC's consistent support for the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation expressed concern that, despite repeated requests and engagement, India has not permitted OIC delegations to visit IIOJK, thereby preventing an independent assessment of the situation on the ground.
On the other hand, the ongoing large-scale Indian military operation has entered its 34th day in Rajouri district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian forces continue extensive search and cordon operations in the forested and mountainous areas of Rajouri district.
