UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned of a wider escalation in the US-Iran conflict following the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.

In a statement, UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said the attacks on commercial vessels, claimed by the Houthis, risk further heightening regional tensions and widening the current cycle of escalation, with the potential to draw Yemen deeper into the regional conflict.
