Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has departed for China on a four-day official visit.

Chinese Consul General Sun Yang was present at the airport to see off the Chief Minister before her departure.

During the visit, the Chief Minister is scheduled to meet a high-level delegation led by Xinjiang Party Secretary Chen Xiaojiang.

She will also hold a meeting with He Zhongyou, Deputy Party Secretary of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Regional Committee, and meet a delegation from the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
