The United Nations has called Yemen's warring factions to prolong the ongoing truce for a long period in the country.  

In an interview, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg expressed the hope to reach a final solution and a permanent ceasefire that will help end the war in Yemen.

He also emphasized on political will on the part of the Yemeni parties for success in the negotiations.
