Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to refrain from facilitating terrorists.

In a televised message today, he said the provincial government is pursuing an evasive policy towards maintaining law and order. He added that the provincial government is not only unaware of the situation but is also reluctant to take measures to maintain peace.

The Minister said terrorists have targeted all political parties, but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has remained their preferred political group.

He said the PTI has become the "B-team" of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and the "C-team" of the Afghan Taliban. He added that PTI had never expressed solidarity with personnel of the security forces.

Attaullah Tarar further said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, his cabinet and the entire PTI provincial government are facilitating terrorists. He said Sohail Afridi appears more like a TTP commander than a Chief Minister. He said the Provincial Chief Minister and his associates are hand in glove with terrorists.

He urged the provincial government to stop facilitating terrorists and called upon PTI to act responsibly and work for the integrity of the country.

The Minister highlighted that illegal trade in timber and tobacco is taking place in the province, while some political figures are also involved in illegal gold mining and the awarding of contracts, through which terrorists are being funded. He said this is the reason the provincial government does not want to take action against terrorists.

The Minister said when drones came from Afghanistan, representatives of the provincial government fled, while the security forces bravely confronted the terrorists.

He said the people, security forces and law-enforcement personnel are fully mobilized to eliminate terrorism. He added that the entire nation is rendering sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
