The Sindh government, under a programme, will distribute fifty thousand food bags monthly among families of Thar to overcome food shortage.

In a statement issued in Karachi today, the Advisor to Chief Minister on Information, Murtaza Wahab said these families have been identified with the help of NADRA and other institutions.

He said, in first phase, the project will continue for four months.

Meanwhile, during his visit to Tharparkar, Chief Secretary of Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has announced to establish National Institute of Child Health at mithi. He expressed dissatisfaction over nutrition program and ordered to provide fifty thousand food bags to the families of Tharparkar.

He visited different schools in Thar and said that closed schools will be reopened soon.
