The Senate has extended support to the newly launched Education Parliamentarian Caucus Pakistan in its campaign for human resource development through education and skills in the country.

A delegation of partners of the EPC led by Minister for Defence Production, Zubaida Jalal called on Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani in Islamabad today. The delegation gave a detailed briefing on the initiative, its aims and objectives.

Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani lauded the idea to initiate such an important platform that provides an opportunity to the lawmakers to work with one voice for the cause of education.

He said education is a national issue and we need to work in unison for promoting education. He said the Senate of Pakistan fully supports such initiatives and believes that it is the quality education which can help us get rid of the issues being faced on social and economic fronts.

The delegation thanked the Chairman Senate for a generous support and observed that support from the supreme constitutional body will help generate a socially and politically integrated approach for the cause of education.

Other members of the delegation included former Minister AJK Farzana Yaqoob and International development and Gender Expert Farwa Zafar.
