President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan is the leading nation in the world of philanthropic activities to help the needy and poor segments.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Al-Meraj Habib Trust Hospital in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said provision of basic amenities of life to citizens is the prime responsibility of a state. 

The President said Pakistan hosted millions Afghan refugees on its land, which shows state's hospitality and generosity.

He said the life of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is a role model for the entire Muslims around the world. 

President Arif Alvi also lauded Al-Meraj Habib Trust Hospital for its contribution in welfare of destitute people.
