Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby has arrived in Lahore on a three-day visit.

Special Representative to the Prime Minister on  Religious Harmony, Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi and President of the Church of Pakistan Bishop Azad Marshal received  him at the Airport.

Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said that people and the government of Pakistan welcome the Archbishop of Canterbury, as his visit would promote interfaith harmony in Pakistan.

During his visit, the Archbishop of Canterbury is scheduled to meet various religious and political leaders of Pakistan.
