High Commissioner of United Kingdom to Pakistan Jane Marriott called on Minister for Power Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari in Islamabad today.  

The Minister informed the High Commissioner about the government initiatives related to power sector and measures to reduce electricity prices for domestic and industrial consumers.

Jane Marriott applauded the government for introducing reforms in the power sector.

The Minister said that the electricity generation plan envisages no fossil fuel plants for the next ten years.

He said that the share of renewable and clean energy was almost above fifty-five percent in the energy mix last year.
