Minister for Maritime Affairs Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has said Ports and Shipping are playing an important role in further strengthen the national economy.          

Talking to PTV, he said China is giving importance to Gwadar Port because it is focusing on trade with other countries through seas.   

The minister said many countries of the world want trade through sea because it is cheaper as compared to airlines.     

He said South Asian Communicable Terminal is generating and offering power to K-Electric.        

He said two Liquefied Natural Gas terminals at Port Qasim are also helping to reduce power loadshedding from the country.
