Covid-19: Islamia University Bahawalpur’s online classes in progress

Islamia University Bahawalpur’s online classes are successfully in progress for its students in the wake of Covid-19 during the ongoing lock down and will be continued till the opening of university.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Dr Athar Mahboob while giving details to our Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur Correspondent Sajjad Parvez said that university had launched a portal through which all faculty members and students are on board to continue their academic activities.

He said that the course material, assignments and books have already been provided to the students through this portal.

He told that university’s Pharmacy Department and the Science Society members had so far prepared five thousand bottles of sanitizers which have been distributed among various government departments free of cost.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Athar Mahboob further stated that University College of Engineering and Technology had made a prototype of low-cost ventilators which has been sent to concerned bodies for approval.

He said University’s College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and College of Conventional Medicine have also successfully launched telemedicine services for the livestock owners, farmers and general public.

He told Islamia University is playing instrumental role of the provision of quality education to one lakh and twenty six thousand students through its eight hundred faculty members in its forty eight departments on five campuses and as many constituent colleges.
