Pakistan Navy Ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK seized over 2,800 kg of narcotics worth approximately 750 million dollars during a joint counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea.

According to ISPR, the ships, while on routine patrol, intercepted a suspicious boat and recovered narcotics from concealed compartments during a boarding operation.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended Pakistan Navy for successful anti-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea.

In their separate statements, both leaders said Pakistan Navy has an important role in protecting Pakistan’s maritime boundaries and preventing illegal smuggling through the sea.

Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf has also commended the officers and crew for their professionalism and vigilance, reaffirming Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime security and combating illicit trafficking at sea.
