Funeral prayers of three officials of Pakistan Rangers, who embraced martyrdom yesterday during ongoing protest, were offered in Rawalpindi today.
The martyred include: Naik Muhammad Ramzan Shaheed, Sepoy Gulfam Khan Shaheed and Sepoy Shah Nawaz Shaheed
The funeral was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar, Chief of Army staff General Syed Asim Munir and other senior serving military and civil officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said Pakistan cannot afford any chaos and bloodshed for achieving vested political purposes.
He said these acts of violence are unacceptable and highly condemnable which are bordering the limits of restraint by the Law Enforcement Agencies.
Shehbaz Sharif said the entire nation pays homage to the martyred Rangers soldiers and all those police officials who have embraced martyrdom and to those who are injured during these riots.
The bodies of the martyrs have been taken to their native home town where they will be laid to rest with full military honour.
