Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has emphatically stated that government will maintain writ of the state at any cost, and there will be zero tolerance for violent protestors.
Commenting on PTI protest in Islamabad, he said the government has pushed the protestors back, and will not allow them to enter into the Red Zone. He said the government is identifying the real culprits behind these violent acts, and they will be dealt with Iron hands.
The Information Minister said the protestors were not ordinary individuals, but rather organized, trained groups possessing advanced weaponry, including tear gas guns and grenades. He questioned the source of these advanced weapons, and announced that an inquiry would be conducted to determine how they were obtained.
He expressed regret that the protestors are misusing the resources of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
The Minister also refuted claims of police aggression, clarifying that law enforcement officials had not fired at the protestors.
