Former AJK President calls for peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue

Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Masood Khan, has emphasized that the Kashmir issue should be resolved through peaceful means and diplomatic efforts.

Addressing a workshop titled "AJK and Pakistan: Intertwined Fates and Shared Challenges" in Islamabad today, he reiterated that resolving this long-standing dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions is essential for peace in the South Asian region.

Masood Khan firmly stated that India cannot defeat Pakistan, especially in terms of the Kashmir issue.

About modern-day technologies, he encouraged the younger generation, particularly students, to embrace emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to address contemporary challenges and seize global opportunities.

In her remarks, Mishal Hussein Malik, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization and wife of the imprisoned Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, urged the youth to utilize modern tools, such as social media platforms, to highlight the sacrifices of innocent Kashmiris fighting for their right to self-determination.

She pointed out that the Modi-led Indian regime is actively involved in altering the demographic composition of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Mishal Hussein Malik also emphasized the need for organizing local training programs, media campaigns, cultural festivals, and civil society engagement to support the resilient struggle of the oppressed Kashmiris.

Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organization urged the youth of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to intensify their efforts and express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who have endured decades of suffering under Indian occupation.
