Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Azerbaijan Embassy in Islamabad today to express condolence over the tragic crash of an Azerbaijani airliner near Aktau, Kazakhstan, in which precious human lives were lost.
In his meeting with Azerbaijan Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, he prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls.
The Prime Minister also prayed for the bereaved families' patience and perseverance as well as the early recovery of the injured. He said the government and the people of Pakistan express complete solidarity with their Azerbaijani brethren in this hour of grief.
Shehbaz Sharif said Azerbaijan and Pakistan share strong fraternal relations based on common religious and cultural values.
Khazar Farhadov thanked the Prime Minister and said that his visit in this time of grief to offer condolences is highly commendable.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi accompanied the Prime Minister.
