National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf has termed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as beneficial for both the countries.   

In an interview with Beijing Review, he said we are entering second phase of the CPEC, which is critical for industrialization in Pakistan and connectivity with China and the rest of the world.

Moeed Yusuf said that projects under second phase of the CPEC will contribute to internal physical connectivity, job creation, agricultural, modernization and industrial expansion in the country.

The National Security Adviser said, some countries and their proxy actors do not want the CPEC to succeed and they see an ever-growing Pakistan-China partnership as a threat.
