Farmers across Europe have blocked roads and clashed with anti-riot police to press for their demands of cheap supermarket prices and unfair competition from abroad.

The farmers held angry protests in Poland, Germany, Brussels and in Madrid saying the European Union is not listening to their demands.

European Union agricultural ministers have pledged to do more to help farmers as they met in Brussels to discuss the crisis in the sector after weeks of angry protests.
