Pakistan Railways conducted a major operation against encroachments in Railway division, Rawalpindi.

The operation carried out with full support of civil administration, Railway Police and Anti-Encroachment staff, aimed at recovering the valuable railway land.

Approximately 14 kanals of land was illegally occupied, with an estimated worth in millions of rupees.   

In a statement in this regard, Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi said government will not allow anyone to occupy railway land.

He said this operation is being conducted solely for the rule of law, the improvement of railway system, and benefit of the public.

He also mentioned that such operations will be conducted across the entire country to recover all illegally occupied railway lands.
