
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
During their warm and cordial discussion, the two leaders exchanged heartfelt Eid-ul-Azha greetings and conveyed their best wishes to the peoples of the two countries on this joyous occasion.
The Prime Minister conveyed his warm greetings and respectful regards to Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. The Kuwaiti Crown Prince said the Amir also conveyed his warm greetings to the Prime Minister.
While reaffirming Pakistan’s condemnation of the attacks on Kuwait and expressing solidarity with the Kuwaiti leadership over the losses suffered during these attacks, Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is making sincere efforts to restore peace in the region. He thanked brotherly countries, including Kuwait and its leadership, for supporting Pakistan’s efforts in this regard.
Appreciating Pakistan’s important role in the ongoing regional peace efforts, the Crown Prince said Kuwait fully supports Pakistan. In this regard, the Prime Minister acknowledged the untiring diplomatic efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in ensuring that the peace talks continue to move forward.
The Crown Prince said the Amir of Kuwait holds the Prime Minister in high esteem and wishes Pakistan success in the peace efforts. He said the Kuwaiti leadership would be pleased to welcome the Prime Minister to Kuwait.
The Prime Minister thanked the Amir and the Crown Prince for their kind words and reiterated his cordial invitation to them to undertake official visits to Pakistan at their convenience.
