Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail says the government is taking steps on war-footing for rehabilitation of flood affectees in the country.
He was addressing a press conference along with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb in Islamabad on Friday.
Miftah Ismail said the government has so far distributed twenty-eight billion rupees among flood victims as cash relief.
The Finance Minister urged the people to donate to the flood relief fund generously.
He said the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during visit in Sukkur announced additional 15 billion rupees for flood affectees.

Miftah Ismail criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for sabotaging government’s endeavors for saving Pakistan from default.
He said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to release a loan tranche to Pakistan after its board meeting which is scheduled for Monday.
Miftah Ismail said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra wrote a letter saying the KPK government will not cooperate with Federal government to meet IMF requirements.
The Finance Minister said Taimur Khan Jhagra will come to Islamabad to meet him on Monday. He said he talked to Taimur Khan Jhagra over phone on Friday evening.
