In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the occupying forces have arrested five more Kashmiris amid ongoing cordon-and-search operations in various parts of the territory.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged people to visit the grave of veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani at Hyderpora in Srinagar on Tuesday to pay tribute to the great leader on his fifth martyrdom anniversary.

In a statement, the APHC said Syed Ali Gilani's sacrifices will continue to inspire the Kashmiri freedom struggle.

In the Ladakh region of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian authorities have ordered the deployment of 12 additional companies of paramilitary forces ahead of demonstrations marking the first anniversary of last year's deadly protests.

On September 24 last year, Indian forces opened fire indiscriminately on protesters in Leh district, killing four people.

The Leh Apex Body has announced a 'Martyrs' Month' from August 24 to September 24 to seek justice for those killed during protests demanding political rights.
