Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says government is actively pursuing measures to promote tourism across the country.

In a message on World Tourism Day being observed today, he said the government is committed to showcasing Pakistan to the world as a safe, attractive, and competitive tourism destination.

Prime Minister said Pakistan's moderate climate, refreshing mountain landscapes, and picturesque valleys possess immense potential to attract tourists from around the world.

He said Pakistan is home to historically significant and sacred sites of immense importance to followers of Sikhism, Buddhism, and other faiths,"

Shehbaz Sharif said promotion of tourism contributes to economic growth and fosters stronger bonds among nations, while at the individual level, exposure to diverse cultures broadens horizons and plays an important role in enriching human potential.
