President Asif Ali Zardari has said tourism can create livelihoods, support local businesses and boost economic activity across the country.

In his message on the occasion of World Tourism Day being observed today, the President said Pakistan has a remarkable diversity of landscapes and experiences, from the mountains of the north and the ancient civilizations of the Indus Valley to our Islamic and Gandhara heritage, deserts and coastal areas.

The President said we must protect our natural environment, cultural heritage and traditions for future generations.

He said this year’s theme, “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism”, highlights the changes technology and artificial intelligence are bringing to tourism, which must remain responsible, inclusive and beneficial to people and communities.

Asif Ali Zardari invited travellers from around the world to discover Pakistan, experience our hospitality and see for themselves the beauty and diversity of our country.
