Speaker Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ms. Valentina Matvienko has arrived in Islamabad on a three-day visit to Pakistan.

This visit comes at the invitation of Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and marks a pivotal moment in the growing diplomatic and parliamentary ties between the two nations.

The visit is anticipated to further solidify Pakistan-Russia relations, with her engagements planned at the highest levels of leadership.

Besides meeting with Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Ms. Valentina Matvienko will call on President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
