A meeting to review proposed amendments to the Audit Oversight Board law was held in Islamabad today (Tuesday) with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair.

Discussions focused on strengthening the regulatory framework and enhancing institutional effectiveness to promote high standards of audit and financial reporting.

Ishaq Dar underscored the importance of transparency and accountability in strengthening investor confidence and promoting a conducive business environment.

He directed the concerned ministries and institutions to maintain close coordination and ensure timely follow-up.
