President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed confidence that Pakistan and the Czech Republic will continue to strengthen their longstanding friendly ties and cordial relations.

In a letter to the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel on the occasion of the country's National Day, he said both the nations will explore new avenues of mutually beneficial cooperation in diverse fields.

The President said that relations between the two countries are based on mutual respect, friendship and close cooperation.
