In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference (NC) has urged the authorities to restore all the democratic rights of the people of the territory.

The NC senior leaders and members of parliament, Muhammad Akbar Lone and Hasnain Masoodi, in a joint statement in Srinagar said it is heartening to note that the people of Kashmir are being denied their rights enshrined in the Constitution.

They said the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Indian government has disrespected the Constitution while dealing with Jammu and Kashmir.
