Israel has approved a plan to double the number of Jewish settlements in the occupied Golan Heights with a multimillion-dollar plan to further consolidate its hold on the territory captured from Syria in 1967.
At a special Cabinet meeting in the Golan Heights, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said the investment worth 317 million dollars in the region is prompted by Biden administrtaion's indication that it will not challenge the decision of Trump administration of recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the occupied land.
