Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has vowed to construct one hundred thousand houses annually for homeless people.

Chairing a special meeting in Lahore today, she reviewed the progress of the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program projects in detail.

The meeting included a comprehensive review of three and five marla housing schemes. The meeting also reviewed a scheme to provide free plots to homeless citizens in Punjab.

An eight-member committee was formed to establish the Terms of Reference for providing free plots to the public.

The meeting informed that under the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program, four thousand eight hundred forty-one houses are nearing completion.

The meeting directed to expedite the development work of housing schemes.
