Prime Minister has directed to take strict action against those indulging in profiteering and hoarding during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.

Meanwhile, chairing a meeting to review availability of essential edible items and ensure stability of prices during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed to take strict action against those indulging in profiteering and hoarding during the holy month.

The Prime Minister gave the federal government and Chief Ministers the task to ensure availability of goods and control of prices.

He categorically stated that if any problem arose in demand and supply of goods and prices, action would be taken against the officer concerned in the area.

The Prime Minister said there is no shortage of edible items, including wheat, anywhere in the country.

He said quality of items should be ensured at Utility Stores and mobile Utility Stores should also be established during Ramazan.

The Prime Minister also directed to establish "Sasta Ramazan Bazaars" in the federal capital and provinces, where modern technology should be used to keep prices under control.
