Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque has said the provision of quality network facilities and protection of cellular users’ rights is the foremost priority of the government.
Addressing the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) Ministerial Conference in Barcelona, the minister said government is committed to end digital divide between rural and urban areas as connectivity projects worth billions of rupees were underway in far-flung areas.
Amin Ul Haque said work on more broadband projects is underway to ensure provision of quality telecom services.
He said that steps are afoot to promote the telecom sector and resolve the issues of mobile companies.
The minister said digitalization is being implemented to realize Digital Pakistan vision.
