Former Governor Punjab Baligh-Ur-Rehman has said that youth is the asset and future of the Country.
He said this while addressing 3rd Convocation of the Government Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur today.
He said that Government is taking effective steps for the welfare of the women.
Baligh-Ur-Rehman highlighted that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz established educational institutions for women more than any other government across the Pakistan where our women are acquiring higher education independently.
He said that women empowerment through education and other means is the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He urged students to work hard in order to attain a bright future and to contribute in the development and prosperity of the Pakistan.
Earlier in her welcome address Vice Chancellor Government Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur Professor Dr Shazia Anjum said that Government is enhancing research-based activities at wider scale along with the provision of higher education to the students in South Punjab.
She said that university has introduced numerous new courses keeping in view the latest technical era to enable students to meet with the challenges of the world.
At the occasion, Member Punjab Assembly Dr Rana Muhammad Tariq, Renowned Parliamentarian Tabish Alvari, politicians and notable personalities attended the 3rd Convocation of the Government Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur.
A total of 3988 students of various programmes have been awarded with degrees in the convocation 2025. Eighty four gold medals were conferred to the position holders in the convocation.
