July 28, 2024

Kashmiris on both sides of Line of Control and World over will observe the 5th of August as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir to register their protest and defiance against Narendra Modi-led Indian government's illegal and fraudulent action taken on this day in 2019.

The observance of Youm-e-Istehsal is aimed at conveying a message to the world that Kashmiris do not accept India's illegal occupation and reject Indian illegal moves of 5 Aug 2019 when it repealed the special status of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that August 5 is another exploitation, mourning and a black day for people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement, spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said Indian government's action was a direct attack on Kashmir's unique identity, culture, demography and basic fundamental rights.

He appealed Kashmiri people to observe a complete strike and mark August 05 as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir and Black Day.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the leader of APHC Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, Zahid Safi has said permanent peace in South Asia is impossible without settling long-pending Kashmir dispute.

He urged international community to play its role in resolving lingering dispute as per United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
