The Apex Committee of Gilgit-Baltistan met in Gilgit today, with Chief Minister Amjad Hussain in the chair.

The Force Commander Northern Areas, Gilgit-Baltistan Minister for Home Muhammad Dilpazeer, Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan Arshad Majeed, and Inspector General of Police Gilgit-Baltistan Dr Nasir Akbar Khan attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the overall security situation and urged effective coordination among all institutions.   

The security of all development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan, including the Diamer-Bhasha Dam, was also discussed.

The meeting appreciated the welfare initiative of the Pakistan Army in the region.
