Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that Radio Pakistan, as the voice of the nation, is playing an effective role in promoting national harmony and cohesion among the people.

He expressed these views during his visit to Radio Pakistan Lahore today.

Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Station Director Dr Ahmer Sohail Basraa, Controller News Sajjad Parvez, along with sectional heads and station staff.

During his briefing on the performance of Radio Pakistan Lahore, Station Director Dr Ahmer Sohail Basraa said that Radio Pakistan Lahore is currently broadcasting on MW and FM channels, providing entertainment, education and information to all segments of society.

Faisal Karim Kundi appreciated the performance of Radio Pakistan Lahore in promoting and preserving literature, music and culture through its broadcasts.

Later, while recording an exclusive video podcast with Radio Pakistan Lahore Representative Sajjad Parvez, Faisal Karim Kundi said that the government believes in media freedom and has always appreciated its role in the character-building of the nation.

Earlier, Faisal Karim Kundi planted a sapling on the premises of Radio Pakistan Lahore and prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country.
