The Economic Coordination Committee has allowed the Trading Corporation of Pakistan to go ahead with the lowest offer received from M/s Makhdoom Logistics Services for import of 300,000 MT of urea fertilizer.
The permission was given by the Cabinet Committee at a meeting in Islamabad, with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair.
The committee approved the proposal of Ministry of Commerce to suspend the date of implementation of the Import Policy Order, 2022 regarding the import of timber and wood till March 31st, next year.
The ECC allowed the TCP to import 0.80 MMT of wheat through open tendering or on government-to-government basis.
It also granted permission to provide an additional supply of imported wheat to provinces from PASSCO's stock.
