Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the announcement of ceasefire between Israel and Lebanese group Hezbollah.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister expressed hope that the announcement leads to permanent cessation of hostilities in Lebanon.

He wished the people of Lebanon peace and security in their country.
