Polling for election of new mayor Islamabad is underway.

It will continue without any break till five in the evening.

The contesting candidates include Malik Sajid Mahmood from the PTI, Pir Adil Gillani from the PML-N and Independent candidate Azhar Mahmood.

An electoral college of seventy-three members, consisting of chairpersons of union councils and deputy mayors, will elect the new mayor.
