PM bans New Year celebrations in solidarity with Palestine

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, in an expression of solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine, has banned organizing all kinds of New Year celebrations in Pakistan.

In a special video message today, he also appealed to the people of Pakistan to observe simplicity on the advent of the New Year to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza.

The Prime Minister said the occupied Israeli forces are wreaking havoc in Palestine. He said the entire Pakistani nation and the Muslim Ummah are in deep grief over the genocide of innocent Palestinians, especially the killing of children. He said over 21,000 Palestinians, including around nine thousand children, have been killed in Israeli barbarism since 7th October this year.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said Pakistan has raised its voice for the oppressed people of Palestine at all international fora and will continue to do so in the future as well. He added that Pakistan has dispatched two consignments of relief goods to help its Palestinian brothers and sisters. He said that the third consignment will soon be dispatched. He said Pakistan is in constant contact with Egypt and Jordan to ensure timely assistance to Palestinian brethren as well as evacuation and treatment of the injured from Gaza.

The Prime Minister also prayed that the New Year may bring peace and prosperity for Pakistan and the entire world.
