Govt taking solid measures to resolve problems of Karachi: Asad

Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said that the federal government is trying to solve the problems of Karachi because Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf believes in public service.

Addressing a function regarding the restoration of the Cooperative Market in Karachi, Asad Umar said that in past there was no modern transport system in Karachi.

He said today people of Karachi are travelling in the Green Line Bus Transport, a project which was completed by the federal government under Karachi Transformation Plan.

Asad Umar said that under the Karachi Transformation Plan, the transaction structure of the Karachi Circular Railway has been approved by the Public Private Partnership Authority and the approval of KCR will be given in the next meeting of ECNEC in February after which work on KCR will start.

The Minister said that the federal government is also working to address the issue of water in Karachi and soon the water problem of Karachi will be solved and water will be provided to the people of Karachi by the K-IV project. The project will complete in 2023.
