KP Govt inks five key agreements about digital policy

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has signed five important agreements as part of its digital transformation policy.

These agreements were signed during a ceremony at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar on Wednesday.

The pacts include an agreement with NADRA for establishment of citizen facilitation centers   at a cost of two point one billion rupees.

In the first phase, the facilitation centers will be set up in seven divisional headquarters of the province.

Another agreement for establishing a digital economy and skills center in Mardan was also signed on the occasion.

The center will provide training to four-hundred youth on nanotechnology.

The provincial government also signed an agreement for implementation of the paper-less government program.

Under the program, a total of one-hundred and seventy different matters of thirty-two administrative government offices will be digitized.

An agreement for establishing the Digital City Haripur as a special technology zone was also signed during the ceremony.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government also signed an agreement for establishing a Science and Technology museum in Mardan with an aim to promote creativity amongst the youth in this field.

Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan termed signing of important agreements a good omen for digital transformation of the province.

He expressed the determination of the government towards achieving the digital transformation targets in the province.
