Jan Achakzai (Political Expert): Interior minister of Afghanistan has made statement for being under pressure of Afghan resistance forces. Afghan Taliban regime is under immense pressure in Badakhshan and other province, so they want some sort of ice melting with Pakistan. However, we have to treat this situation with caution as Taliban are not trustworthy. Resistance against Taliban has grown so powerful because religious clerics have also issued Jihad decree against Taliban regime for not abiding by Sharia. Over 180 clerics have issued this decree and it is a significant development and big victory for resistance forces. It will expedite resistance’s actions against Taliban because religious elements and factors will also join resistance forces against Taliban. Taliban regime has not come up their commitments made in Doha accord and backed out from all the commitments. They have no credibility so we must believe them after seeing concrete and tangible actions against terrorist outfits inside Afghanistan.
