Sindh government has fixed the price of sugarcane at 182 rupees per mann (maund) at a meeting in Karachi Wednesday.

The meeting was chaired by Minister for Home and Agriculture Sohail Anwar Siyal. Addressing the meeting, the provincial Minister said that sugarcane price has been fixed with the consultation of all the stakeholders and the crushing season will start from Thursday formally.

He said it is our priority to take decisions keeping in view the benefit and aspirations of people. The meeting was attended by the stakeholders including farmers, mill owners and representatives of Sindh Abadgar Board and Sindh Agriculture Chamber.
