World Health Organization says health challenges in Syria have escalated due to harsh winter conditions exacerbating the vulnerability of displaced populations.

According to a report of WHO, there is continuous significant rise in influenza-like illnesses and severe acute respiratory infections since the beginning of winter.

The report emphasized the need for targeted interventions, including better insulated shelters, heating and access to essential medical supplies to address these issues.
