All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed deep concern over the worsening conditions of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in jails across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India.
In a statement, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, said that Hindutva-driven BJP-led regime is deliberately ignoring their legal and medical needs, calling it a blatant violation of international human rights charters.
He urged global human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the dire situation of these illegally detained leaders and activists.
Meanwhile, a special court under the National Investigation Agency in Jammu issued proclamation notices against two Kashmiri men Amir Khan and Khursheed Aalam from Islamabad district.
The court directed them to appear within 30 days or face property attachment, a tactic frequently employed by the Modi regime to seize the properties of Kashmiris under various pretexts.
On the other hand, protests erupted in Budgam against the installation of smart electricity meters. Demonstrators, including women, blocked roads and demanded an immediate rollback of the new metering system, fearing it would exacerbate their financial struggles.
